Things you have to know when replacing your Citroen key. No matter what are your circumstances – you have lost your Citroen key or your Citroen key is not starting up your car or maybe some functions of your Citroen fob have stopped working – you will need a specialist help. You may consider visiting Citroen dealer to get a replacement key. There are few things you need to remember when dealing with main dealer:

1. You will need to visit the dealer and provide your driving license and log book.
2. Be prepared to wait around 5 working days as the dealer will need to order the key.
3. Once the key arrives to the dealership, you will need to bring your car over to have the key programmed.
4. You will need to cover the cost of towing your car as the dealership doesn’t provide a mobile service.

If you have lost your Citroen key we will need a special code to cut the blade. If you don’t have this code we can obtain it on your behalf. The code will allow us to cut the blade if you have a key that is not working we can use one of our machines to copy it onto the new blade. Each Citroen key has a transponder chip concealed inside plastic head of the key. New transponder chip needs to be paired with your car’s immobiliser to make the car start. Remote locking needs to be programmed separately.
