Renault and BP are extending their strategic business cooperation.
BP, Castrol and Renault F1 Team extend cooperation in Formula 1 for another two years until the end of 2024. The Renault Group also chose Castrol as its global partner in the field of maintenance services from January 1, 2020.
The Renault Group and BP, together with Castrol – the world leader in the lubricants market, are expanding their strategic partnership from January 1, 2020. This is the result of successful cooperation that began in 2017 at Formula 1.
The cooperation of BP and Castrol with Renault F1 Team will last at least until 2024. They will provide advanced fuels, engine oil, gear oils, hydraulic oils, lubricants and brake fluid, as well as several high-performance industrial lubricants to the Renault technical centers. They are located in Enstone, where the chassis are designed and built, and in Viry-Châtillon, where the Renault engine factory is located. BP and Castrol will play a key role in supporting the Renault F1 Team, due to the new Formula 1 regulations that will come into force in 2021.
The Renault Group also chose Castrol as its global partner in the field of maintenance services. The contract will enter into force from January 1, 2020. A new range of products, bearing the Renault and Castrol brands, will be on offer for Renault dealers. Owners of this manufacturer’s cars will be able to benefit from the achievements of both partners, which are the result of cooperation on Formula 1. The Renault Group and Castrol, strong focus on the use of advanced technologies, will strengthen the partnership to provide customers with even better products and solutions.
Enhanced technological cooperation in the field of service and Formula 1 will enable both brands to move borders both on the track and off the track. Thanks to Castrol, one of the world’s leading brands of lubricants, the Renault Group will build a strong partnership that will allow Renault customers and dealers to enjoy the best service and products, while significantly contributing to the ambition of Formula 1.
